Where the plant configuration is geared towards electricity production, the syngas produced in the Pyrolysis process will be cleansed and used within a gas engine linked to an electricity generator. Each 25 tonne per day Pyrolysis system will generate approx 1.6MWe of recovered energy electricity, which will be fed into the National Grid electricity network under a Power Purchase Agreement.

Pyronex are committed to maximising the extraction and delivery of locally generated sustainable energy, where geography allows, electricity generated from the plant could be utilised locally by businesses and community buildings through a direct power agreement. A further by-product of the electricity generation process is heat. Again, where geography allows, heat can be captured and potentially distributed and retailed via a District Heating Network to local businesses, community buildings and perhaps residential properties.
